It has nothing to do with Michael Jackson 与迈克杰逊无关

I swear that the title of this blog has got nothing to do with Michael Jackson ("MJ"). This title came into my mind before the release of MJ's latest album and his movie. It was inspired by the recent spate of animal issues that were reported in the papers, animal welfare blogs and in Facebook such as the cat in the MRT track, the culling of the community cats by the various town councils, the case that happened in AVA where the aunties caregivers were made to choose between the mummy cat and the kitten etc.



Though members of the public including myself had been writing to the papers, the authorities and their agents, we are still a long way away from gaining acknowledgement and support from our government. Hence, the title of this blog "This is it??!!!" meaning 'Is this is what we can achieve thus far?'. But there please don't be discourage, fellow caregivers and animals lovers out there, we must continue to stand up and speak out for our furry friends.

我发誓这个部落格的格名与迈克杰逊无关。早在迈克杰逊的遗作发布之前我就已经决定了这个格名。格名的灵感来自近期一连串有关动物福利的报道，如跑进地铁遂道的猫，被市政理事会捕杀社区猫，还有农粮局只允许照顾社区猫的爱心妈妈选择令走母猫或小猫等事件而来。

虽然有不少民众包括我，为这些事件向报馆和有关当局提出抗议，但是要得到我们政府的认同和支持还有甚远的距离。因此才会想用“就是这样”的格名来代表 ‘难道我们就只能这样？’。但是请各位爱心妈妈和动物爱护者不要气馁。我们要继续为我们的毛小孩的福利奋斗。
